It includes a 1080p, HD camera that captures video at 30 frames per second. All-new, active infrared capabilities increase precision, allowing it to work in nearly any lighting condition and expanding field of view to accomodate a greater variety of room sizes. Microsoft proprietary Time of Flight technology measures the time it takes individual photons to rebound off you to create unprecedented accuracy and precision. The new noise-isolating multimicrophone array filters ambient sounds to recognise natural speaking voices even in crowded rooms.

XBoxOne.com, the matching domain for Microsoft’s new video game system, was originally registered more than 10 years ago.

Microsoft today unveiled its new XBox video game system called XBox One.

Microsoft does not own the domain name XBoxOne.com, which currently resolves to a GoDaddy “coming soon” page.

The domain name was registered in 2002 by Xbox Rodents and was used for a site called XBox1. It then expired in 2011 and was registered by someone in London. XBox Rodents also owned XBox1.com and let it expire in 2011 as well.

So the big question: how important is it that Microsoft owns the domain name?

The main web site for all generations of the XBox is XBox.com, so you could argue that XBoxOne.com isn’t that important. On the other hand, XBoxOne.com could be use by someone for nefarious purposes or to “hijack” the sales channel.

I suspect Microsoft will own the domain name soon. I just don’t know which approach they’ll take to acquiring the domain.

What Does Your Email Say About YOU

Your email address says a lot more than just the messages you send from it. Recently, I used a service online and scheduled a meeting. The person replied to my request through email, and that’s when I noticed he was using a personal Gmail address. Seeing this made me think twice. Was he really as established and professional as I thought he was? If he cuts corners on something as a domain name what else do they cut corners with .With all of the work you do to establish your company and attract new customers, don’t let a little thing like an email address distract your potential customers.

Advantages to Using a Personalized Business Email Address
Unpaid email accounts are easy to get and use, so you might be reluctant to switch to a paid account. But when you look at the advantages of using your domain name for your email address — such as increased credibility, branding opportunities and how affordable they are — you’ll see you can't afford not to use one.

  • Look professional: Like it or not, prejudices exist around email addresses. Although, an GMX address might functionally be working well for you, it can make you look “behind the times,” and appear less established and less serious about your business.
  • Brand your business: Build your business identity. Put your company name in front of customers, prospects, suppliers, vendors and partners with every email you send. When your email address is your company name, you’re marketing your business with every email you send.
  • Protection from spam: Paid email accounts typically includes anti-virus and spam filters to keep your inbox clean and secure from dangerous spam. They also have address books, folders to stay organized, and email encryption with password protection so information you send and receive stays private.
  • Manage all email accounts in one place: When you get a personalized email address, you don’t need to check multiple email accounts or worry about missing messages from your free email. Most email, like Hotmail and Gmail, let you forward all messages to any email address you choose.
  • Easy to find your business online: Customers and prospects you’ve corresponded with from time to time don’t always remember how to find you online. But if they have your business email in their online address book, they can see your domain name in your email address and know exactly how find your website.
Quick Solution: Go Daddy Business Class email starts at around $1 a month and is simple to set up and match it to your domain name. It also includes an integrated calendar and free online storage. How do you get a personalized business email address? If your business has a website, then you’ll want your email address to match the domain name. If you don’t have a website yet, then you’ll need to start by getting a domain name.

Tip: Select your domain name carefully because you’re going to want to put your business website on this domain eventually. A domain is a key part of your brand, so take the time to find a name that represents your company brand, is fairly short, easy to spell and easy to remember.
Domain registrars like Go Daddy offer inexpensive email plans that use your domain name. Also, many will give you a free email address when you buy a domain name or a site builder, so check out their add-ons.

CRAZYDOMAINS.co.uk . A Positive Start with A New Registrar

Today I registered a new co.uk with regards to quickly developing it because of a new big TV show on SKY 1 with Diversity leader Ashley Banjo, `The Town That Danced Again `

http://www.stocktonteesside.co.uk

Its a quick project with regards to making a quick buck .  BUT also I am doing it to promote my local area in my town so I might as well register the town name www. and perhaps expand beyond my local area as and when I get the time ( lol, perhaps never then )    I digress ,   I picked CrazyDomains (CD) as they was selling co.uk for    £ 2 so why not.   It was immediate which is always a good start . NEXT , a free website  . I went with Weebly .
So in I went to my CD account manager and then into `app setup ` thinking I was going to have to mess around with setting up `A `records in my DNS.
BUT NO .  The options where there before me `  forward domains to Weebly , Blogger , WIX , Yola , Webs etc  etc`  A click of a button and a tick of the box and it was all automated .   No messing in the DNS manager like you do with Godaddy .  It took about 2-3 hours but hey , its free .  I havent tried other options yet with CD but so far its been a Good Start .

MOZILLA ACCUSES `FINFISHER` MAKERS OF HIDING UNDERNEATH THEIR NAME

5/4/2013

FIREFOX Picture
The Mozilla Foundation has accused UK software company Gamma International of falsely using one of its products brands with the Firefox name.

Finfisher is legitimate surveillance software thought to be used by governments to covertly obtain data.

It is installed unknowingly by its target computer user, often by disguising itself as an update to a well known programme such as Firefox.

Gamma International has not responded to emailed requests for comment.

University of Toronto research group The Citizen Lab said it believed Finfisher command and control servers were currently active, or had been present, in numerous countries.

In 2011 the BBC found documents in the state security building in Egypt, looted during the uprising, which suggested that the Hampshire-based firm had offered to supply Finfisher to the Egyptian government to monitor activists.

Gamma  denied supplying it but the files seen by the BBC described a five month trial which included successful access to email accounts and the recording of encrypted Skype calls.

Mozilla has now sent a cease and desist letter, warning Gamma not to use the name of Firefox, its  browser, as camouflage for the program.

"Our brand and trademarks are used by the spyware as a method to avoid detection and deletion," said Mozilla chief privacy officer Alex Fowler in a statement.
"AS an open source project trusted by hundreds of millions of people around the world, defending Mozilla's trademarks from this abuse is vital to our brand, mission and continued success."
